What does Modified Atmosphere & Controlled Humidity Packaging mean?
A.) Atmospheric packaging of Fresh Plus® technology (MAP).

The main use of Modified Atmosphere Packaging (MAP) is when oxygen levels decrease and carbon dioxide levels in post-harvest agricultural products increase.
When there is too little oxygen in the packing atmosphere, it could cause a problem called anaerobic respiration. This condition will cause undesirable effects on the taste, smell and spoil of the product. Also, excessively high levels of carbon dioxide would quickly ripen the product resulting in rot.
The packaging material used with Fresh Plus® technology for fruits and vegetables has a particularly good permeability to fruit perspiration. If the products are airtight enclosed in conventional packaging, then oxygen will soon be depleted and unwanted anaerobic conditions could develop.
On the other hand, when the packaging material is very porous, the O2 & CO2 ratio will be uncontrollable, resulting in unpleasant short-term situations for the quality of agricultural products.
What FreshPlus® MAP’s innovative technology effectively achieves is to create the right modified atmosphere for products in polymer packaging. In this safe packaging, oxygen and carbon dioxide will be able to enter and exit and maintain adequately stable levels, such as to maintain agricultural products for a long time quality marketable and healthy in a natural way without chemical additives.

B.) Technology in Modified Humidity Control Packaging (MA / MH).
In addition to all the advantages that come with the features of Fresh Plus® safe air-conditioned plastic packaging, its additional technology offers proper control of humidity levels effectively, especially when there is no pre-freezing.
The outside ambient temperature that remains inside the package, when it enters the cold storage environment, water vapor is created that accumulates inside the package, then moisture in the form of droplets on agricultural products, thus causing rot and rot and begins to decompose. However, there are some varieties of fruits and vegetables that want to have a high relative humidity environment.
At this point, the new FreshPlus® MA / MH humidity-controlled technology is activated, eliminating the amount of moisture that is not needed in the environment, creating the moisture that fruits and vegetables want. The FreshPlus® MA / MH technology package prevents the formation of drops and provides a controlled environment of desired humidity.
Our special technologies with water vapor transmission rates (WVTR) are designed to provide the most suitable possibilities for expansion during the life of fruit and vegetables.
Modified Humidity Plastic (MA / MH) bags are designed with the principles of modified atmosphere (MAP).

C.) Modified atmosphere pallet packaging with FreshPlus® technology.
There are 3 types of pallet packages.
1. Plastic Pallet Packing
The whole palette is dressed in a bag. The bottom of this bag is open to the first board of the pallet. Doing so ensures that the fruit is not affected by air circulation during storage and shipment. This prevents the skin of the fruit from shrinking and the stems from drying out. Prevents weight loss by about 7-8%. It is practical to use. It does not require any special vacuum or gas process.
2. MA / MH Pallet Packaging Technology:
This FreshPlus® technology coats the entire pallet with the pallet bag with special instructions.
For this technique to work, the pallet bag must not be torn or punctured. This coagulation prevents weight loss by 12-16% of the products.
3. Active Pallet Packaging Technology:
It is the same application as the previous FreshPlus® (Pallet MA / MH), it consists of 2 parts in the package of this top and bottom palette. After preparing the whole pallet, the air inside it is evacuated through the special device for absorption and inflow of suitable gas.
The machine automatically injects a specific CO2 gas mixture into the package. thus the products create conditions of a modified atmosphere. Requires special construction and application. A gas engine supply is required. It is sensitive to piercing and tearing. Prevents weight loss by 15-20%.
The production of these products are made through a special process.
These pallet bags are given in the following bag-pallet dimensions:
1- 1.00 meters wide to 1.20 length and 2 meters high. = 240 * 282 cm
2- 1.00 meters wide 1.20 meters long and 1.80 meters high. = 240 * 265 cm
- 3- 0.80 meters wide 1.20 meters long and 1.60 meters high. = 220 * 248 cm
All fresh fruits and vegetables during storage and shipment are subject to weight loss. Prices range from 2% to 25% of weight loss, reducing product quality.
